Two Hearts Running Wild: Victoria & Michael’s City Hall “I Do” and Hartman’s Distilling Celebration From Kindergarten to City Hall — The Ultimate Love Story When people talk about high school sweethearts making it to the altar, Victoria and Michael’s story is what they dream of. But this love story doesn’t just start in high school — it goes all the way back  to kindergarten. From childhood pageants and awkward middle school phases to becoming “the two girls on the hockey team” (yes, that  hair), their journey was written in the stars — or at least in school yearbooks and teen diaries. After 12 years of growing up and growing closer, Victoria and Michael chose to make it official with a heartfelt, non-traditional wedding ceremony in the Chamber of Commerce at Buffalo City Hall, followed by a celebration that was anything but  ordinary. Carrie & Brett’s Wedding at The Lockstone: Laughter, Love & a Little Bit of Chaos Where Forever Started: A Love Story on the Erie Canal As a wedding videographer, I've witnessed thousands of “I do’s.” But Carrie and Brett’s  wedding day at The Lockstone in Albion, NY wasn’t just a ceremony—it was an experience. A celebration of enduring friendship, twin-brother love, daycare war stories (yes, really), and a union that’s as hilarious as it is heartfelt. Set against the charming, rustic-modern elegance of The Lockstone, this day had all the elements we videographers dream of: glowing light, beautiful vows, and more genuine emotion than one SD card can handle. Getting Ready: From Maid of Honor to Bride Carrie once stood by her best friend’s side as a maid of honor, delivering a heartfelt speech. Now, that same friend stood beside her —ready to return the favor, and maybe get a little revenge . “Honestly, Carrie just wanted revenge for making me do a speech at her wedding.” From shared days working at a daycare (covered in... let’s call it “unexpected fluids”) to laughing through chaos, her maid of honor delivered a toast that had everyone laughing through tears: “I just knew we were meant to be friends… We left that day covered in vomit, making bets on which one of us would get sick first.” Friendship like that doesn’t fade—and the kind of love Carrie and Brett share feels built on that same foundation: unconditional, steady, and forever grateful. There was laughter—lots of it. But there were also vows that will stay with me as long as the footage itself. Brett’s twin brother gave a speech that wasn’t just a toast—it was a tribute. “Brett is the good twin. He listens, he comforts, he’ll break the silence with a perfectly timed Family Guy reference—and then disappear into his music room to write a song about it.” Carrie was reminded again and again of how Brett’s creativity, insight, and deeply rooted kindness make him not just a good man—but the best man  for her. “Carrie, Brett is the steady hand you always needed… the one person you can always count on.” Their Vows: A Promise to Be Witnesses During their vows, they promised more than just love. They promised to be witnesses to each other’s lives. “In marriage, you’re promising to care about everything… your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go unwitnessed, because I will be your witness.” And from Brett’s playful wit to Carrie’s quiet strength, the way they looked at each other said more than even the best lines ever could. A Love That Feels Like Home—With Views for Days As a wedding videographer, you get to witness a lot of “I do’s,” but some days leave a lasting imprint—and Taylor and Nick’s wedding at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa was one of those rare, cinematic love stories that unfold like a perfectly written film. Except nothing about this day was scripted. It was honest. It was emotional. It was them . From the sweeping panoramic views of Rochester’s hills to the intimate exchanges of vows and stolen glances, everything about this wedding radiated love—and the kind that’s been through chapters, not just pages. Getting Ready: The Calm Before the "Wow" Taylor’s morning was spent with her girls in a bridal suite high above the treetops—champagne, soft music, and that undeniable feeling of “This is it.” And just a few floors down, Nick was writing his vows, likely shedding a tear or two as he thought of the woman he’d soon call his wife. When I am with you, I am the best version of myself because I am unapologetically myself. Today, I can’t wait to be your husband.” Their baby boy, Nicholas, aka: little man, was lovingly woven into the fabric of the ceremony—not just a part of the story, but the heartbeat of it. From Sisterly Sass to Lifelong Bonds Taylor’s younger sister Devon delivered a speech that was raw, warm, and woven with memories: “You are my best friend... and I pray to never know a life without you. You’re the sister I’d choose in every lifetime.” To Nick, she said: “If I could give you one piece of advice to keep Taylor happy... don’t question her. She’s been known to throw a punch when necessary.”  (We won’t confirm or deny that with video footage...but she's not wrong.) Lauren & Josh Tie the Knot at The Fallbrook House: A Lakefront Love Story Chapter One: Boy Meets Girl, Girl Says “Yes!” (Eventually) Every epic romance has its origin story, and Lauren and Josh’s tale is no exception. Set to a soundtrack of laughter, candid moments, and vows that will hit you right in the feels, their wedding day at The Fallbrook House at Canandaigua Country Club was a much anticipated one for the ages. Picture this: A stunning lakefront deck, sunlight shimmering over Canandaigua Lake, and a couple so cute together they could melt steel beams. That’s right, folks—love was in the air. Welcome to The Fallbrook House: AKA Wedding Nirvana Let’s talk about the venue, shall we? Nestled at the Canandaigua Country Club, The Fallbrook House is basically where romance goes to live its best life. Think expansive lake views, indoor and outdoor atmospheres, and a team of professionals that basically live to help you say “I do” without the stress. And yes, Canandaigua Lake showed off that day like it knew it was being filmed. The First Look: Tears, Twirls, and One Very Dapper Groom Josh saw Lauren for the first time in her gown, and cue the waterworks . If the way Josh looks at Lauren doesn’t convince you love is real, nothing will. Lauren walked out looking like the actual goddess of sunsets. With her elegant gown fluttering in the breeze, she absolutely stole the show. (Although shoutout to Josh’s suit game—he showed up looking like GQ called and said, “Please calm down, sir.”) Their first look was a mix of sweet whispers, gasps, giggles, and the universal “Oh wow, we’re doing this!” moment. Ceremony Goals: A Vow With A View If there were a contest for Most Picturesque Wedding Ceremony Ever, Lauren and Josh would be in the running. The ceremony took place on the lakefront lawn, surrounded by blooming florals and heartfelt stares from friends and family. With the waves lapping softly and the light beginning to dip behind the hills of the Finger Lakes, the two exchanged vows that could melt even your most single friend’s cold, Tinder-scarred heart. A special nod to their officiant, an Auntie I am no stranger to, who managed to elegantly balance humor and heartfelt emotion like a wedding ninja. The Reception: Where Love Gets Loud The real party kicked off during cocktail hour and the reception—and wow, the music surely brought the house down. With lighting that made every Instagram story look professionally edited and a playlist that had grandma AND the groomsmen fist-pumping, it was an all-out celebration. Lauren's father also set the bar exceptionally high for any and all fathers of the bride by providing a full on surprise video production of his speech, complete with stories of Lauren's upbringing, and fond memories of Josh before they finally started dating. Let’s just say the dance floor was a hazardous place for high heels, dignity, and any sense of rhythm (but 100% worth it). The Details: Because Aesthetic Matters Tableware: brought vintage elegance to every place setting. Even the forks were dressed for the occasion.
