- Wedding Videography Cost in 2026: What Couples Actually Pay (And What’s Worth It)
A real-talk, behind-the-scenes guide to wedding videography pricing, packages, and what couples say they regret (or don’t). 📸 From Your Videographer: Let’s Talk Real Numbers (and Real Emotions) Hey there — if you’re here, you’re probably in one of two places: Deep in budget spreadsheets trying to make everything fit Or wondering if wedding videography is even worth it I’ve filmed weddings across all types of budgets — from intimate backyard ceremonies to luxury, multi-day celebrations — and I can tell you this: The question isn’t just “How much does a wedding videographer cost?” It’s: What are you actually paying for… and will you regret your decision later? And for 2026 couples, there’s something new influencing decisions more than ever before: 👉 Real, unfiltered feedback from other couples online (especially Reddit threads like r/weddingplanning and r/weddingsunder10k). We’re going to break all of that down — honestly. 🎥 What Is the Average Cost of a Wedding Videographer in 2026? Let’s start with the numbers. In 2026, the average wedding videographer cost in the U.S. sits between $2,500–$3,500 , continuing a steady increase from previous years. Here’s the real range: Budget: $1,200–$2,000 Mid-range: $2,500–$4,000 Luxury: $4,500–$8,000+ 💡 Why the increase? Inflation, yes — but also higher demand for cinematic storytelling, drone footage, and social media edits. 💡 Why Wedding Videography Costs What It Does From the outside, it can look like:“Someone shows up with a camera and presses record.” But here’s what couples often don’t realize (until after the wedding): What You’re Actually Paying For 🎬 10+ hours of filming (often with multiple cameras) 🎧 Professional audio capture (vows, speeches, ambient sound) 💻 30–80+ hours of editing 🎨 Color grading, storytelling, music licensing 🔁 Backup gear + redundancy (because weddings are one-shot events) One Reddit user put it bluntly: “Our videographer worked harder than anyone at our wedding… we had no idea how much went into editing until we saw the final film.” That’s the part most people don’t see — but it’s where the magic happens. 💸 Wedding Videography Packages Explained (2026 Breakdown) Not all packages are created equal — and this is where couples either feel confident… or completely overwhelmed. 💡 Basic Wedding Videography Package ($1,200–$2,000) 4–6 hours coverage 3–5 minute highlight film Minimal audio capture Limited editing 👉 Best for: elopements or very small weddings 🌟 Standard Wedding Videography Package ($2,500–$4,000) 8–10 hours coverage 5–8 minute cinematic highlight film Ceremony or speeches edit 1 videographer Optional add-ons 👉 This is where most couples land — and where you start seeing story-driven films . 🎬 Premium Wedding Videography Package ($4,500–$8,000+) Full-day + rehearsal dinner coverage Multiple videographers Drone footage Teaser + highlight + full documentary edit Social media edits 👉 Best for: couples who want a full, immersive memory of their day. 📍 Location Matters: Regional Pricing Differences Where you’re getting married plays a huge role in cost. Midwest (like Ohio / Upstate NY): $1,800–$3,500 Major cities (NYC, LA, Chicago): $4,000–$7,000+ Destination weddings: Often higher due to travel + extended coverage If you’re Googling “wedding videographer cost near me” , this is why results vary so much. 🤔 Is Wedding Videography Actually Worth It? (Real Couples Weigh In) This is where Reddit gets very honest — and honestly, it’s one of the most valuable resources out there. The #1 Regret: Not Hiring a Videographer Across dozens of threads, this comes up again and again: “We skipped video to save money and I regret it more than anything. Photos are beautiful, but I would give anything to hear our vows again.” “The day goes by so fast. Video is the only way to relive it.” That aligns with industry data too — roughly 1 in 5 couples regret not hiring a videographer . When Couples Don’t Think It’s Worth It Let’s be real — not everyone feels it was necessary. Common reasons: They prioritized photography more They had a very small, casual wedding They didn’t connect with their videographer’s style 👉 Translation: it’s not just about having a videographer — it’s about hiring the right one . 🎬 What Couples Say Is Worth the Money From both Reddit and real client conversations, here’s what consistently ranks as “worth it”: ✅ Audio Quality (Underrated, but CRITICAL) Hearing vows, speeches, and laughter is what makes video emotional. “The audio made us cry. That alone made it worth every dollar.” ✅ A Strong Highlight Film This is what you’ll watch the most — and share with friends and family. ✅ Full Ceremony & Speeches Edits Not flashy, but incredibly meaningful years later. ✅ A Videographer Who Feels Like a Good Fit Energy matters. Presence matters. Trust matters. ❗ What’s Not Always Worth the Extra Cost Let’s save you some money here. Based on real feedback: ❌ Overly long films (30+ minutes you’ll rarely rewatch) ❌ Too many social media edits (nice, but not essential) ❌ Paying premium prices for minimal style differences 👉 Focus on core memories first , then add extras if budget allows. 📦 Hidden Costs Couples Don’t Expect This is where budgets can sneak up on you. Watch for: Travel fees Raw footage add-ons ($100–$500) Expedited delivery Second shooter upgrades Extra hours of coverage Always ask for a fully itemized package breakdown . 💡 How to Save Money on Wedding Videography (Without Regret) If budget is tight, here’s how to be smart about it: Book early (popular dates fill fast) Choose shorter coverage instead of cutting video entirely Bundle photo + video when possible Prioritize highlight + ceremony over extras 👉 Cutting video completely often leads to regret. Scaling it down? Much smarter. 🎥 Wedding Videographer vs Content Creator (2026 Trend Alert) This is a BIG shift happening right now. Videographer: cinematic, edited, storytelling-driven Content creator: iPhone clips, behind-the-scenes, fast delivery Many couples are choosing both — but if you have to choose: 👉 Videographer = long-term value 👉 Content creator = short-term social media They serve different purposes. 🎬 Final Thoughts: What You’re Really Investing In Here’s the honest truth: Your wedding video isn’t just another vendor expense. It ’s the only thing that lets you relive your wedding day. Not just how it looked — but how it sounded, moved, and felt. Years from now, you won’t care about centerpieces or signage. But you will care about: Your vows Your voices The people who were there And that’s what video preserves. 📝 TL;DR: Wedding Videography Cost in 2026 Average cost: $2,500–$3,500 Full range: $1,200–$8,000+ Most valuable: audio, highlight film, ceremony edits Biggest regret: not hiring a videographer Best advice: scale your package — don’t skip it entirely 💬 Want Help Finding the Right Fit? If you're venue hunting in Western New York, these are absolutely worth adding to your tour list. The barn reception space also has excellent lighting, which makes speeches, first dances, and reception moments feel warm and inviting on film. If you're searching for a modern barn wedding venue near Buffalo with a countryside vibe, this venue should definitely be on your radar. You can check out my blog post for this wedding venue here ! 🎥 A Quick Tip From a Buffalo Wedding Videographer After filming weddings across Western New York, here’s one piece of advice I give every couple: Don’t just look at photos—visit the venue at the same time of day your wedding will happen. Lighting completely changes a space. Venues like the Botanical Gardens and The Powerhouse look amazing in photos, but the real magic happens when you experience the space in person. Tips for Choosing the Right Buffalo Wedding Venue Here are a few things I always tell couples when they’re choosing a venue. 1. Visit the Venue in Person Photos never tell the whole story. Lighting, acoustics, and layout dramatically affect the feel of your wedding day. 2. Consider Guest Experience Think about: parking walkability weather backup plans Buffalo’s weather can change quickly. 3. Ask About Vendor Policies Some venues require preferred vendors while others allow full flexibility. 4. Understand Venue Costs Wedding costs in Buffalo vary widely depending on venue style and guest count, but venue rentals alone can range from around $1,000 to $20,000+ depending on the space and services included. Final Thoughts From a Buffalo Wedding Videographer Your wedding venue sets the tone for everything—from your décor to your timeline to the way your wedding film ultimately looks. Buffalo is packed with incredible venues, from historic landmarks to modern downtown spaces and romantic garden settings. - What’s in My Bag in 2026: The 3 Sony Lenses I Actually Use at Every Wedding
From One Working Wedding Filmmaker to Another… If you’ve been following my journey with Candidly Kierra Productions, you know I’m not a gear hoarder — I’m a gear refiner . After five years of filming weddings in barns, cathedrals, vineyards, and candlelit ballrooms, I’ve stopped chasing every new release. Last year I created a 2025 lens kit guide . I also gave a complete gear breakdown for what's in my bag for the 2025 wedding season . This year, I am telling you what's actually in my bag and on my camera body. In 2026, my kit is leaner. Smarter. Intentional. This isn’t a “top 10 lenses” list. This is what’s actually in my bag — what I trust when there are no second takes. If you’re a Sony shooter (A7 IV, FX3, A7S III), and you want to know what lenses are dominating real wedding days right now — let’s get into it. Who This Post Is For Wedding filmmakers ready to upgrade from beginner glass Sony shooters wanting to invest wisely Creatives who are tired of lens swapping chaos Anyone wondering: Do I really need G Master? This is not theory. This is field-tested. Prime vs Zoom in 2026 — My Honest Take Here’s what experience has taught me: Zooms pay your bills. Primes build your brand. Zoom lenses save you during unpredictable ceremony moments. Primes create the cinematic magic that gets you booked again. In 2026, I run a hybrid system: One primary zoom mounted on my main camera body until open floor reception dancing One prime lens after all formal events and open dance floor Ceremony and speeches: (1) telephoto lens for a nice tight shot and (2) my backup zoom lens on another stationary camera. That’s it. Clean. Efficient. Professional. 🥇 1. Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II The Workhorse That Rarely Leaves My Camera Use For: Getting ready, ceremony front angles, reception candids, family portraits, dance floor chaos. If I had to shoot an entire wedding with one lens, this would be it. And yes — Reddit agrees. Across r/SonyAlpha and r/WeddingVideography threads, the consensus is consistent: “Stupid sharp wide open.” “Finally light enough to use all day.” “Autofocus sticks like glue.” Sony redesigned this lens from the original GM, shaving weight and dramatically improving sharpness. It’s noticeably lighter than the first generation — which matters when you're filming 8–10 hours straight. I say this with confidence as I have also rented the Sony 24-70 mm GM and the Sony 28-70 f/2 GM . With both lenses, my wrists up to my shoulders were feeling it midway through the day. And that's saying something since I carry around a 30+ lb 2 year old most days. There is a very noticeable difference in weight and balance, and I cannot recommend the 24-70 GM II enough. Why It Dominates in 2026 ✔ Edge-to-edge sharpness at f/2.8 You’re not sacrificing clarity for flexibility. ✔ Reliable autofocus tracking On Sony bodies, eye AF during vows is borderline unfair. ✔ Versatility under pressure 24mm for wide ceremony shots.70mm for tighter emotional reactions. No lens swap needed. Real-World Wedding Truth When timelines fall behind. When the officiant asks you not to move. When you are boxed in by guests with iPhones. This lens saves you. The Only Downsides Expensive investment Still heavier than a prime No built-in OSS (rely on IBIS/gimbal) But here’s the honest coach moment: If weddings are your business, this lens pays for itself. 🥈 2. Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM The Cinematic Storytelling Lens Use For: If time allows, I do like to switch out my zoom during bridal prep, detail shots, couple portraits, and a non-negotiable in any darker lit environment. This isn't always a guarantee, but nice to be able to move between if possible. This year I am thinking about investing in a Spider Camera Holster and carrying it around on my second camera body as a quicker change out. If the 24-70 is my safety net, the 35mm GM is my signature. There’s a reason this lens has near-cult status on Reddit threads. It’s frequently described as: “Magic wide open.” “Perfect storytelling focal length.” “The lens that lives on my FX3.” And they’re not exaggerating. Why 35mm Works So Well for Weddings 35mm is intimate without distortion. It shows context and emotion. Too wide? You lose intimacy. Too tight? You lose environment. 35mm is the balance. What Makes the GM Version Special ✔ Insane sharpness at f/1.4 You can confidently shoot wide open in dark reception halls. ✔ Beautiful bokeh rendering The falloff feels organic — not clinical. ✔ Lightweight for a GM lens Perfect for long gimbal sessions. Where I Use It Most Bride reading a letter Groom adjusting cufflinks Golden hour couple portraits Dance floor closeups It’s cinematic without trying too hard. The Honest Reality This is not your ceremony-from-the-back lens. It’s your emotional storytelling lens. And if you’re building a brand around romantic, immersive wedding films — this focal length delivers. 🥉 3. Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II The Ceremony & Speech Hero Use For: Vows from the back, toasts, emotional parent reactions, tight portrait compression. I even like to whip this bad boy out and throw my camera on a monopod during cocktail hour to get more organic candid shots of guests and the bride and groom interacting with guests from across the room. Let’s be real: this lens separates hobbyists from professionals. Reddit wedding shooters consistently say: “It prints money.” “Worth every penny for ceremonies alone.” “Compression is unreal.” And they’re right. Why You Need a 70-200 in 2026 Church rules tighter than ever. Unplugged ceremonies enforced. Movement restrictions increasing. You can’t always walk the aisle. This lens lets you: Capture tears during vows Stay unobtrusive Get creamy background separation Why the Mark II Version Matters The updated version is: Noticeably lighter Faster autofocus Sharper across the frame It fixed the biggest complaint of the original: weight fatigue. Real Wedding Example When I’m stuck in the back corner during a Catholic ceremony, this lens gives me: Tight bride reaction Groom’s trembling hands Parents wiping tears Without ever stepping forward. That’s professional coverage. If you're looking for something a little less break the bank and will upgrade over time, the Sony 70-200 mm f.4 is a great starting option at a grand less. What I Don’t Carry Anymore Here’s where I’ll challenge you a little. I no longer carry: Multiple redundant primes. I rented the Sony 50 mm f/1.2 GM just to make sure. Overlapping focal lengths “Just in case” lenses If it doesn’t serve a clear purpose, it doesn’t go in the bag. Gear minimalism = creative clarity. My 2026 Wedding Kit Setup Here’s how it practically breaks down on a wedding day: Role Lens Mounted On Primary Coverage 24-70 GM II Main body Cinematic/Gimbal 35mm GM Second body or main body Ceremony/Speeches 70-200 GM II Tertiary body or main body monopod That’s it. Three lenses. Full coverage. Zero panic. Why I Chose Native Sony Glass Over Third Party Let’s address it. Last year, I was all about includes othter brands. Sigma makes phenomenal lenses. Tamron makes great zooms. But for weddings — where autofocus failure is not an option — I prioritize: Native Sony AF optimization Firmware compatibility Weather sealing Resale value When it comes to paid client work, many professionals stick to native glass for reliability. Is it more expensive? Yes. Is it less stressful? Also yes. And stress costs more than lenses. Investment Reality Check If you're newer and thinking: “I can’t afford this yet.” Good. That means you’re thinking responsibly. Look at my 2025 guide for more affordable options. Start with: A 24-70 equivalent One fast prime (35mm or 50mm), doesn't have to be a GM Add telephoto when ceremonies demand it Rent before you buy. Feel the weight. Test the workflow. Then invest. Because here’s the truth: Expensive lenses won’t fix poor storytelling. But great lenses remove technical excuses. Final Advice From Someone Who’s Filmed the Chaos You don’t need 10 lenses. You'll be fumbling around, and missing those candid, organic shots. You need: Confidence in your focal lengths Fast decision-making Gear you can operate without thinking It's more important to capture the moment with the lens you have on your main body than to miss it. In 2026, my kit reflects experience. It reflects mistakes. It reflects refinement. If you’re building your wedding filmmaking business right now, focus on: Mastering 24-70 versatility Developing a signature look with a prime Covering ceremonies professionally with compression Do that consistently, and you’ll book better weddings. Not because of the lens. But because of how you use it. Candidly Kierra Productions out. __________________________________________________________________________________ If you enjoyed the article above, make sure to check out more of my work in my blog or wedding portfolio . - Top 3 Sony Lenses for Wedding Videography in 2025
The Ultimate Beginner & Budget-Friendly Guide to Building Your First Wedding Filmmaking Kit (with Luxury Upgrades for Later) From One Wedding Filmmaker to Another… Hey there! If you're reading this, chances are you're either just starting your journey into wedding videography, or you're looking to level up your lens kit — and let me tell you, you're in the right place. I’m a five year seasoned wedding videographer full of real-world experience, hauling gear in hot summer ceremonies, filming vows in dim candlelit barns, and dancing backwards in heels at receptions with a gimbal in hand. I’ve been scrappy. I’ve rented gear, bought secondhand lenses off Facebook Marketplace, and cried over soft ceremony footage shot with the wrong lens at the wrong time. This blog post? It’s the one I wish I had when I started. Who This Guide is For New wedding videographers looking to build a starter kit Sony shooters (A7 III, A7 IV, FX3, etc.) Creatives on a tight budget who want smart gear decisions now, and room to upgrade later Anyone who wants to understand why certain lenses work best for weddings Let’s get into it — and by the end, you’ll have a kit list, upgrade ideas, and pro tips to help you film your first wedding with confidence. 💍 📸 Prime vs. Zoom Lenses — What You Need to Know Before we dive into the specific lenses, let’s cover one of the biggest decisions you’ll face: prime vs. zoom . Both have their place in your kit — and the best filmmakers know when to use which. Lens Type Pros Cons Prime Lenses (Fixed focal length like 35mm, 50mm, 85mm) - Extremely sharp - Lightweight - Wide apertures (great for low light) - Beautiful depth of field (bokeh) - Forces creative framing - Fixed = less flexibility - Need to switch lenses more - More physical movement to frame shots Zoom Lenses (Variable focal length like 24-70mm, 70-200mm) - Versatile focal range - Less lens swapping - Ideal for unpredictable moments (ceremonies, speeches) - Heavier & bulkier - Often pricier - Slightly less sharp (in budget models) - Slower apertures in affordable models TL;DR? Zooms are your safety net for fast-paced moments. Primes are your magic wands for intentional beauty shots. 🥇 Top 3 Sony Lenses for Wedding Videography in 2025 Let’s build your foundational kit — starting with budget picks that punch above their weight , then offering luxury upgrades you can invest in later. 1. You don’t need the $3,000 G Master lenses to make beautiful wedding films. You need: Smart lens choices Solid storytelling instincts A willingness to learn and adapt Start scrappy. Rent what you can’t afford yet. Buy used. Master framing and lighting with what you have. When the time is right, you’ll know exactly what to upgrade — because you’ll know what you’re missing. Nakiesha & Logan: A Love Rooted in Family, Faith, and Pure Joy A Warm October Welcome at CHQ Barn in Mayville, New York On an unseasonably warm October day in the charming village of Mayville, New York, family and friends gathered at CHQ Barn—one of Western New York’s most beloved rustic wedding venues—to celebrate the marriage of Nakiesha and Logan. While fall often brings crisp air and golden leaves, this day felt different. It felt gentle. Intentional. Wrapped in warmth—not just from the sun, but from the love radiating from everyone present. Nestled among open fields, rolling countryside, and the peaceful presence of horses grazing nearby, CHQ Barn offered the perfect blend of rustic elegance and heartfelt intimacy. From the moment the day began, it was clear this wasn’t just a wedding—it was a deeply meaningful milestone. Emotional First Looks That Set the Tone for the Day A Bride Surrounded by Generations of Love Before Nakiesha ever walked down the aisle, she shared some of the most touching moments of the day with the people who shaped her into who she is. One by one, she revealed her wedding look to her dad, her mother, and her grandmother—each first look layered with its own emotion. Her father’s reaction was tender and proud, the kind of moment that says “I’ve loved you your whole life, and I always will.” Her mother’s embrace carried years of devotion, sacrifice, and unconditional love. And then there was her grandmother— emotional, reverent—reminding everyone present that love doesn’t fade with time; it deepens. These quiet moments, tucked away before the ceremony, grounded the entire day in family and legacy. The Ceremony: A Sacred Commitment at CHQ Barn Logan’s First Glimpse of His Bride As guests took their seats outside the beautifully restored CHQ Barn, the space filled with anticipation. And then—Nakiesha appeared. When Logan saw Nakiesha walking down the aisle, time seemed to slow. His expression said everything. Awe. Love. Gratitude. The kind of look you don’t rehearse, because it comes straight from the heart. It was one of those moments that reminds everyone why wedding films matter—because no words, no picture, could ever fully capture that feeling. A Ceremony Rooted in Faith and Partnership Their ceremony was thoughtful and deeply personal, anchored in faith and spoken intention. The officiant reminded everyone of the sacredness of marriage, quoting Ecclesiastes 4:9–12—a passage that perfectly reflected Nakiesha and Logan’s relationship: “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Those words rang true for a couple who had already weathered life side by side. Nakiesha’s sharp mind and infectious fun, paired with Logan’s tireless work ethic and heart of gold, made it clear: these two are better together. As they exchanged vows and rings—symbols of patience, kindness, and perseverance —they promised not just love, but lifelong support, forgiveness, and humor (including gentle reminders about leaving the seat down). With a joyful pronouncement and a heartfelt kiss, Mr. and Mrs. Wright were officially introduced—and the celebration truly began. Reception Moments That Were Equal Parts Heartfelt and Hilarious Speeches Filled with Stories, Laughter, and Tears The reception at CHQ Barn was everything a great wedding reception should be: emotional, energetic, and deeply personal. Logan’s best man, Travis, kicked things off with humor and honesty, sharing stories that highlighted Logan’s kindness, loyalty, and steady presence through years of friendship. From wrestling mishaps to scrapyard adventures, the message was clear—Logan shows up, no matter what. Then came the voices of Nakiesha’s sisters. Sisters Who Speak Straight From the Soul Each sister brought something uniquely powerful to the mic—love layered with humor, wisdom, and lived experience. They spoke of growing up together, of sisterhood evolving from childhood annoyance to adulthood dependence, and of watching Nakiesha grow into a woman defined by selflessness, grace, and strength. One by one, they welcomed Logan not just as a husband—but as family. Loud, loving, protective family. A Reception Speech No One Will Ever Forget Ice Ice Baby… Wedding Edition Just when guests thought the speeches had peaked, Nakiesha’s eldest sister Tanya took her wedding speech and gift in a different direction —but promised it would be (w)rapped. In a moment that perfectly captured the joy of the day, she performed a custom-written rap set to the tune of “Ice Ice Baby.” Equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and iconic, it had the entire room laughing, cheering, and Nakiesha and Logan truly at a loss for words. From clever lyrics to genuine advice about marriage, it was the kind of moment people will talk about for years—and one Nakiesha and Logan will never forget. Honoring Parents and the People Who Raised Us A Bouquet Dedicated to Mom Rather than a traditional bouquet toss, Nakiesha chose to honor someone who had been there through every chapter of her life—her mother. In a moment filled with gratitude and humility, she dedicated her bouquet to the woman who raised her, supported her, and loved her unconditionally. It was a reminder that weddings aren’t just about the couple—they’re about the village that helped them get there. Golden Hour Magic Near the Fields and Horses Quiet Moments, Just the Two of Them As the sun dipped lower, Nakiesha and Logan stepped away for golden hour portraits in the open fields surrounding CHQ Barn. With horses grazing nearby and warm light wrapping around them, birds migrating in the distant skies, these moments felt peaceful and grounding. After a day filled with emotion and celebration, this was their chance to breathe—to soak it all in, hand in hand, as newlyweds. These are the moments that wedding films treasure most: unscripted, unhurried, and completely real. A Love That Chooses Joy, Every Single Day Throughout the night, story after story revealed the same truth—Nakiesha and Logan choose each other daily and hold each other's hearts with tenderness. Whether it’s dancing to the Sunday Night Football theme song, showing grace during hard seasons, or finding joy in the smallest rituals, their relationship is built on intention. They don’t just love each other. They like each other. They keep dating. They keep laughing. They keep choosing joy. A Night to Remember at CHQ Barn From heartfelt vows to unforgettable speeches, from emotional family moments to a packed dance floor, Nakiesha and Logan’s wedding at CHQ Barn in Mayville, NY was a celebration of love in its truest form—patient, kind, resilient, and full of laughter. - A Wedding at Timberlodge at Arrowhead Golf Club
A Day in the Heart of Love: Sarah & Tyler’s Wedding Nestled in the rolling fairways and tranquil ponds of Timberlodge at Arrowhead Golf Club in Akron, NY, Sarah and Tyler’s wedding day unfolded like a beautifully written love story — full of humor, deep devotion, and unforgettable moments shared with their closest family and friends. Set against the backdrop of this unique rustic wedding venue — with its timber-framed interiors, expansive patios, grand gazebo, and graceful harmony of indoor and outdoor spaces — every moment felt intentionally crafted, profoundly personal, and joyfully lived. From the grand exchange of vows to heartfelt speeches and dancing under the lights, this was more than a celebration. It was the culmination of six years of love, resilience, laughter, and becoming “Team LoVallo Bedard” — a day Sarah and Tyler will cherish for the rest of their lives. The Morning: Anticipation, Pockets, and Perfect Details The sun was just beginning to warm the day as the Timberlodge’s rustic ambiance came alive with the energy of a wedding in full swing. In the softly lit preparation suite, Sarah slipped into her dress — a gown that felt so right and so Sarah: the train, the florals, and that instant smile when she saw herself in the mirror made it undeniably perfect. And just like that — with pockets in her dress and joy in her heart — she was ready. Meanwhile, Tyler looked every bit the groom — handsome, composed, and quietly excited for the moment he’d soon see his bride. Quiet confidence met electric anticipation, the perfect blend of calm and celebration that would define the whole day. Timberlodge at Arrowhead: A Stage Set for Love There’s a reason couples fall in love with the Timberlodge at Arrowhead Golf Club — and why photographers delight in capturing weddings here. Its rustic post-and-beam architecture, sunny patios, manicured grounds, and photogenic ponds and gazebo create a dreamy environment that feels intimate yet grand. The lodge’s indoor and outdoor spaces allowed guests to move freely — from heartfelt toasts under the open sky to laughter and dancing within its welcoming walls. It didn’t take long for everyone to feel like they were part of something special — both a wedding and a memory that would last a lifetime. Vows That Echo: A Love Anchored in Truth and Forgiveness When Tyler stood before Sarah, surrounded by loved ones and the soft rustle of nature, his words were honest, funny, and deeply sincere. He began with a memory — their first meeting six years ago at Lloyd’s Tacos, where a stray piece of lettuce had miraculously found its way onto Sarah’s shoulder. That day wasn’t just the start of a story — it was the moment he met the woman who would become his best friend, his supporter through pharmacy school, his partner in kitchen experiments, and his love for all the seasons of life. “It was the day I met my future wife,” he said simply — and everyone listening instantly understood just how true that was. Then, with gentle humor and heartfelt insight, their officiant Dr. Putnam shared wisdom about love — that disagreements aren’t signs of failure, but opportunities to grow together, to shape unity out of individuality. She reminded everyone that forgiveness — not perfection — would be their guide in this shared life ahead. Finally, with a ring in hand and love in his voice, he pledged to choose her every day. To support her dreams. To love with all his heart. To be her husband. And with that, the circle of the ring — with no beginning and no end — became a symbol not just of today, but of every tomorrow. “With these vows, I promise to be your husband.” Toasts & Tributes: Laughter, Love, and Celebration After the ceremony, family and friends took the mic — and the Timberlodge’s warm atmosphere became the perfect backdrop for stories that were heartfelt, humorous, and deeply rooted in love. Megan — Maid of Honor and Lifelong Friend From first grade to this very day, Megan’s friendship with Sarah was a story of loyalty, laughter, and adventure — from road trips to shared queso missions. She spoke of how Tyler’s presence had made Sarah smile bigger, laugh louder, and even — yes — care about the Buffalo Bills. Her toast was a tribute to joy, partnership, and the kind of love that makes life sweeter — taco nights, belly laughs, and all. Dr. Putnham — Part Philosopher, Part Emotional Anchor With genuine warmth, she reminded everyone of the Greek maxim “know thyself” — and extended that wisdom to knowing who you need in life. For Sarah and Tyler, she observed, that person had already been found. Her heartfelt words illustrated just how special their union was — not just for them, but for all who have loved them along the way. Family Insights & Loving Roasts Whether it was stories about childhood admiration, sibling rivalry turned genuine pride, or loving jabs about allergies and quirks, every speech shared one thing clearly: these two are loved — deeply and widely. The importance of treasuring each day, of laughter, optimism, and mutual support echoed through every tribute given. And a gentle reminder from family? That life might not always go according to plan — but if anyone could handle ups and downs, it was these two . The Reception: Fire Pits and Dancing As the sun dipped and the golden hour bathed the Timberlodge’s lawn in a warm glow, the celebration transitioned into an evening full of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments. Under the glow of twinkling lights, guests gathered around fire pits, shared stories, clinked glasses raised to love, laughter, and lifelong partnership — and eventually took to the dance floor. The rustic charm of the Timberlodge — its covered patios, open spaces, and inviting ambiance — gave every guest room to connect, celebrate, and feel part of something deeply joyful. Final Thoughts: A Day That Becomes a Lifetime By the end of the night, with hearts full and cheeks aching from laughter, it became clear why this day — this place — this couple — is so special. Sarah and Tyler didn’t just host a wedding at Timberlodge at Arrowhead Golf Club. They crafted a moment in time that captured the essence of who they are together : compassionate, joyful, grounded, and delightfully real. From the heartfelt vows that anchored their promises, to the hilarious, loving speeches that filled every corner of the lodge with emotion, to the joyous celebration that carried late into the night — this was a wedding that felt like home. And as guests drifted home with full hearts and cameras full of memories, one thing was certain: Sarah and Tyler’s love story has only just begun — and what a beautiful beginning it is. - A Wedding at Ravenwood Golf Club
A Dream in the Finger Lakes: Setting the Stage Nestled just south of Rochester and within the heart of the Finger Lakes region, Ravenwood Golf Club has long been celebrated for its stunning natural beauty and its seamless balance between elegance and rustic charm. On September’s golden light, Christina and Nick’s wedding unfolded against this breathtaking backdrop — the vibrant green fairways of the championship 18-hole course, the carefully tended gardens, and the inviting ambiance of Ravenwood’s pavilion and banquet spaces. Ravenwood offers couples a versatile canvas for their special day. Many choose to exchange vows in the outdoor garden pavilion or on the terraced patio, surrounded by manicured lawns, and blossoming flower beds. For Christina and Nick, Ravenwood wasn’t just a venue — it was the perfect setting to reflect their story: warm, welcoming, timeless, and full of love. Love & Friendship: The Story of Christina and Nick To understand why this wedding day felt so special, it helps to know the journey that brought Christina and Nick here. From laughter to lifelong friendship: Their story isn’t just one of romance — it’s deeply rooted in friendship, loyalty, and shared growth. As one of Christina’s lifelong friends — her maid of honor — put it during her speech: “We’ve had the privilege of calling her our best friend… Something we’ve been lucky enough to do since we were kids. 25 years ago, we all moved to the same street. And that was the beginning of everything.” From childhood block parties and first crushes to high school soccer games and late-night conversations, their friendship formed the foundation of the person Christina has become today: someone who “feels deeply and shows up 100% of the time for the people in her life.” It’s no surprise that when life demanded hard work — like going back to school for nursing — she didn’t do it alone. Right by her side was Nick. Her “voice of reason in the chaos,” her late-night study partner, and her reminder to make life fun through the process. Stability, support & growth: In his vows, Nick spoke with such heartfelt sincerity: “You make me feel safe. Lucky doesn’t even begin to describe it. Your understanding of me, patience for me, and willingness to push me out of my comfort zone are all reasons why I will never find anyone else like you ever again. You are a true one of one Christina Rose.” Their relationship was never just about the good times — but about choosing each other through every season: learning, growing, building, loving. As Christina poignantly said: “I have been dreaming of this time since I was a little girl … you have taught me patience … When my mind is moving way too fast, you slow me down … You create a safe space for me.” That depth of connection — that promise to be each other’s support, cheerleader, and partner in everything — is what made their wedding day not just a celebration, but a milestone in a lifelong journey together. The Day at Ravenwood: Ceremony, Vows & Joy Morning Calm & A Few Butterflies The day began quietly — a moment of stillness before the whirlwind of family, friends, and emotion. As the sun traced its path across September’s sky, laughter and excitement filled the air — that unique blend of nervous energy, love, and anticipation that only wedding day mornings bring. Exchanging Promises Amid Gardens & Glass When it was time, friends and family gathered under the pavilion — surrounded by Ravenwood’s lush gardens, soft floral accents, and the gentle rustle of leaves overhead. As vows were exchanged, Christina and Nick looked into each other’s eyes and made promises that echo far beyond that day: to support each other, to build their dreams together, to share in joy and hardship, and to love and cherish. When the Christina's brother pronounced them husband and wife — and the moment came to seal their vows with a kiss — the garden seemed to glow a little brighter, as if even nature was celebrating their union. Celebration, Speeches, and the Heartfelt Moments Speeches from family and friends added depth, humor, and warmth to the night. From childhood memories of growing up on the same street to moving in together, buying their first home, and building a life — every word painted a vivid picture of who Christina and Nick are, and what they mean to the people around them. One of the most touching moments came when the Maid(s) of Honor shared memories of a 25-year friendship, recalling block parties, first crushes, teen years and beyond. Their love, loyalty, and admiration for Christina was evident — and they welcomed Nick with open arms, grateful he was the one “who understands her, supports her, and makes her a better person.” Moments like these — in quiet sincerity, through tears, smiles, and laughter — are what made the night so memorable. We ended the last bit of autumn daylight out on the golf grounds, where the sun decided to emerge and produce the most stunning golden hour footage to date. So much so it brought Christina to tears of happiness and joy. She knew her grandfather was with her on her most special of days. Why Ravenwood Was the Perfect Fit Looking back on the day, it’s clear that no other venue could have captured their love story quite like Ravenwood did. Here’s why: A seamless indoor-outdoor flow: Ravenwood’s covered pavilion and adjacent glass-enclosed banquet hall allowed for a ceremony in nature with all the comforts of an indoor reception. It’s a venue that adapts — whether you need sun, shade, or shelter. Scenic elegance & natural beauty: From the manicured golf course and lush gardens to the softly lit waterfall and elegant patios — every corner of Ravenwood invites connection, reflection, and romance. Thoughtful logistics for couples & guests: The venue offers a bridal suite, complimentary parking, golf-cart transportation for scenic photos, and an experienced event team making sure the day runs smoothly. Atmosphere that mirrors the couple: Just like Christina and Nick’s relationship — warm, welcoming, grounded, elegant yet unpretentious — Ravenwood felt like the perfect embodied backdrop to celebrate their love. A Night to Remember: Endings, Beginnings & Forever By the time the last song played and the dance floor began to empty, one thing was clear: this was more than a wedding. It was the start of a new chapter — not just for Christina and Nick, but for everyone who loves them. Their love, their commitment, their story — it had become part of something larger: a community of friends and family, support, memories, and shared promise. As their officiant beautifully put it: “This ring becomes a sign not just of love, but of design. Two lives that weave. … So wear this ring … with the promise held inside that through all seasons — storm or sun — your hearts will be as if they’re one.” And under the open sky at Ravenwood, with flickering fire pits, laughter, dancing, and the gentle hum of heartfelt conversation — it was more than a promise. It was a celebration of love’s enduring power. Looking Ahead: The Journey Continues Christina and Nick, your wedding day was a testament to your love, your journey, and your commitment to each other. But as all who know you would agree — this is just the beginning. Through all the milestones you’ve already checked off (nursing school, moving in, buying a home, building a future together), and all those yet to come — the way you’ve loved, supported, and lifted one another up says everything about the life you will build together. Ravenwood Golf Club provided the perfect stage — but the real magic came from you two and the love you share. To family, friends, and all who gathered that day: thank you for being part of it. For witnessing two hearts joyfully become one. And for carrying the love of this day onward into every tomorrow. Here’s to a lifetime of joy, laughter, growth, and love for the newlyweds. - A Wedding at Arbor Midtown
Sydney + Nick’s Joyful “Frog-Filled” Forever at Arbor Midtown A Love That Started with Frogs In a world where so many great love stories begin with a swipe, Sydney and Nick’s romance blossomed on Bumble — and, hilariously, with frogs. Yes, frogs. Nick’s profile was packed with frog-themed humor, and while most people might’ve hopped right past that, Sydney was intrigued. There was something delightfully quirky about it. As the officiant recounted during their ceremony, it was the perfect “just right level of frog content” to get Sydney “hopping back for more.” That spark of humor set the tone for their entire relationship — one filled with laughter, playfulness, and a deep understanding of one another. From those first texts to the long FaceTimes that stretched to seven hours, Nick and Sydney’s connection was immediate, comfortable, and easy — or as they later described it in one perfect word: effortless. The Perfect Day at Arbor Midtown On a golden September afternoon, Arbor Midtown became the heart of Sydney and Nick’s story. Nestled in the vibrant core of downtown Rochester, NY this venue offered the perfect blend of urban and modern style — high ceilings, and soft natural light pouring through its elegant windows. As a wedding videographer, capturing love stories at Arbor Midtown always feels like stepping into a romantic film set. The space balances sleek city sophistication with warmth and intimacy — the perfect canvas for two people whose love radiates authenticity and joy. Sydney and Nick’s décor beautifully matched the venue’s urban-chic aesthetic: lush greenery, soft candlelight, and personal touches that reflected their personality (like non-sequential table numbers used to describe their relationship). From the first look to the first dance, every moment felt uniquely “them” — full of laughter, sweet glances, and that signature, authentic charm. From Little Sister Dreams to a Big Sister’s Reality One of the most emotional moments of the day came from Sydney’s sister, who shared that she had always dreamed of Sydney’s wedding more than her own. Growing up five years apart, their bond was more than sisterly — it was protective, playful, and deeply loving. She recalled having dance parties on Sydney’s bed, and “floor dancing” (which, apparently, is exactly what it sounds like). Watching her big sister walk down the aisle in her stunning gown, surrounded by friends and family at Arbor Midtown, was everything that little sister had imagined — and more. Her words summed up the day perfectly: “Seeing your beautiful dress, the gorgeous venue, and the love that you and Nick have is all beyond what little me could have dreamed of.” (More) Frogs, Cats, and a Mud House Full of Love Sydney and Nick have built a life that’s delightfully one-of-a-kind. Together, they share a home affectionately known as The Mud House — a historical home from 1835 with actual mud walls. It’s not just a house; it’s a metaphor for their marriage. As one of Nick's groomsmen so eloquently put it during the reception, that my heart stopped: “That house is a statement — to have something beautiful, you don’t need anything complicated or expensive. You just need simple ingredients and a commitment to be there for when it rains.” Their relationship is exactly that. Built on simple, strong foundations — humor, empathy, and trust — with a shared commitment to keep “reapplying the mud” when life gets messy. Add in their three cats, two (non-poisonous) poison dart frogs, and endless laughter, and you’ve got a love story that’s perfectly imperfect — and perfectly them. The Vows: Effortless and Wholesome Sydney and Nick’s vows were nothing short of cinematic — raw, hilarious, and deeply moving. Sydney’s words painted a picture of calm and certainty: “Life with you is easy. It’s calm and joyful. It’s safe and consistent. And it’s filled with so much laughter.” Nick matched her energy with the kind of heartfelt vulnerability that made every guest (and yes, even the videographer) tear up: “Never once have you made me feel self-conscious, embarrassed, or judged. I can just be myself. And that is such a giant gift and weight lifted.” But the best part? Their humor shone through even in the most emotional moments. From “I will also die for you” from the officiant, to promises about watching Bob’s Burgers every night, their vows perfectly captured what love really looks like — genuine, funny, and full of shared quirks. A Celebration as Warm as the Couple From heartfelt toasts to laugh-out-loud stories, the reception was a joyful whirlwind. Family and friends spoke about Sydney and Nick’s kindness, their ability to bring out the best in each other, and their hilarious antics (turns out, Nick once slept in the same bed as a terrified friend in a haunted Airbnb). Nick’s mom shared her pride and gratitude — not just for the wonderful son they raised, but for the incredible woman who loves him so well. Sydney’s parents echoed the same, welcoming Nick with open arms and plenty of laughter. As the evening carried on beneath the soft lights of Arbor Midtown, guests danced, laughed, and toasted to a future full of love, frogs, and maybe one day — grandchildren (wink, wink). Love at Arbor Midtown Sydney and Nick’s wedding was a dream to film. Arbor Midtown offers cinematic lighting, open spaces, and a gorgeous balance of modern elegance and timelessness that make every frame feel like magic. The venue’s polished, industrial beams, and soft neutral palette allowed Sydney’s elegant dress and Nick’s style to stand out beautifully. During golden hour, the light streamed through the windows, illuminating their joy in a way that only Arbor Midtown can. If you’re planning your wedding in Rochester and want that perfect mix of urban sophistication and intimate romance, Arbor Midtown is the place. Whether you’re envisioning a lush greenery-filled ceremony or a lively, laughter-filled reception, this venue captures it all — and your wedding film will thank you for it. To Sydney + Nick: A Toast to Forever Sydney and Nick’s love story reminds us that the best relationships don’t have to be complicated. They’re built on laughter, trust, and the comfort of being wholly yourself with another person. Their day at Arbor Midtown wasn’t just a wedding — it was a celebration of everything that makes them who they are: fun, authentic, and unshakably in love. As their videographer, I’ll always remember the joy in the room when they were pronounced husband and wife, the tears during their vows, and the laughter that echoed across the dance floor that night. So here’s to Sydney and Nick — may your life together continue to be effortless and wholesome , just as you described it. May your mud walls stand strong, your frogs stay happy, and your love grow deeper with every new layer you build together. Cheers to your forever — and thank you for allowing me to capture it at beautiful Arbor Midtown. The Morning: A First Look Full of Heart Before the whirlwind of vows and celebration began, Michelle and Elan shared a quiet moment together on the sunlit grounds of The Richardson Hotel. The mix of gothic architecture and soft summer light created the perfect contrast for their classic aesthetic. As Michelle approached, her dress caught the breeze, and their dog trotted excitedly toward Elan—setting off smiles and laughter that carried through the rest of the day. This first look wasn’t just emotional—it was grounding. It gave them time to breathe, connect, and savor the anticipation before stepping into their next chapter. The Terrace at Delaware Park: A Dream Venue in Full Bloom Nestled along Hoyt Lake and surrounded by the lush greenery of Buffalo’s Olmsted Park system, The Terrace at Delaware Park offered a setting that felt both historic and alive. On this late summer afternoon, the lake shimmered in the sunlight while guests arrived to the sound of soft instrumentals drifting from the the garden. Inside, the venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows framed the park in every direction—bringing the outside in. The team at The Terrace curated a menu of fresh, locally inspired dishes prepared in-house, complemented by signature cocktails that guests couldn’t stop raving about. Every moment felt like a love letter to the couple: sophisticated, welcoming, and full of heart. Every detail was thought out, down to their wedding cake, which was crafted in Texas and carefully transported up to New York by Elan's relatives. A Private Ketubah Signing Before the Ceremony Before walking down the aisle, Michelle and Elan gathered with their closest family and friends for a private ketubah reading and signing—a moment filled with deep emotion and meaning. In the gentle light of the reception space at the sweetheart table, their cantor guided them through the blessings and signatures that would formally begin their marriage. The intimacy of the moment contrasted beautifully with the joyful energy that would soon fill the ceremony space. As they sealed the ketubah with a kiss, a quiet cheer rippled through the small group—a moment of sacred joy before the celebration began. The Ceremony: Full of Jewish Tradition As guests took their seats in the garden, equipped with paper fans and kippahs, the scene felt straight out of a painting. The floral arrangements echoed the late-August palette—soft creams, pale pinks, and touches of greenery that tied perfectly to the natural backdrop of the sunkissed outdoor space. Elan’s face lit up when he saw Michelle walking down the aisle, escorted by her parents, with sunlight glinting off the water behind her. The cantor beautifully wove Jewish teaching and tradition into their ceremony, while simultaneously honoring both Michelle and Elan as individuals coming into their equal partnership. When they were pronounced husband and wife and Elan successfully broke the glass, the crowd erupted in applause, the sounds of celebration mingling with the summer breeze. The Reception: Timeless Elegance Meets Modern Fun As evening settled in, the celebration moved indoors where candlelight and soft gold tones set a warm, romantic mood. The Terrace’s open design created an intimate atmosphere while still giving guests a stunning view of the park beyond the glass. A quick couple's portrait session by Hoyt Lake were some of the favorite small moments captured from the day. From heartfelt toasts from both sets of parents to an energetic dance floor that stayed full all night, every moment flowed naturally. Their first dance was nothing short of cinematic. - A Wedding at the Legacy at Eighteenmile Creek
A Whimsical Celebration of Grace & Adam at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek A Venue Steeped in Timeless Beauty There are wedding venues, and then there is The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek—Buffalo’s newest affordable wedding venue, where elegance and warmth meet nature’s charm. Tucked into the rolling landscape of Hamburg, New York, this custom-built structure offers an idyllic escape for couples seeking a timeless wedding venue filled with photo-worthy spots and serene views. Its climate-controlled building, sweeping outdoor grounds, and unique architectural details make it the perfect stage for a love story like Grace and Adam’s—a story brimming with devotion, family, and a touch of Pride and Prejudice–worthy romance. An Austen-Worthy Romance If Jane Austen herself had penned a modern love story, it might have looked a little like Grace and Adam’s. Their courtship began seven years ago, an instant connection between two kindred souls. From ice cream dates (Adam with an orange creamsicle, Grace with vanilla and rainbow sprinkles) to Saturdays spent walking their dogs, Obi and Ray, the two built a foundation of laughter, teamwork, and enduring affection. At The Legacy at 18 Mile Creek, the wedding vision came to life. Golden sunlight streamed through the venue’s wide windows as family and friends gathered, just as in Austen’s pages—a community coming together to celebrate not just a marriage, but a union of hearts and histories. Family: The Heart of the Day While Grace and Adam’s love story took center stage, their wedding day was also a living tribute to the families who shaped them. Both youngest children in their families—a “fraternity” of sorts, as one speech lovingly put it—Grace and Adam carry the imprint of those who came before them. Adam’s four older siblings—Lauren, John, Michael, and Andrew—have watched him grow from a “lanky blond kid” into a man of perseverance, humor, and character. Grace, with her older brother Travis and (much) older sister Shelby, has been described as a built-in best friend—someone who lends a hand, listens deeply, and sees the good in everyone. And woven through the ceremony was an unspoken but deeply felt presence: Adam’s parents, who have departed this world but remain steadfastly in their son’s heart. Grace honored them beautifully during her vows, speaking of their generosity, strength, and love—qualities Adam inherited and now shares with her. “I vow to carry their memory forward with us,” she promised, a sentiment that echoed like a benediction in the hushed space. The Ceremony at The Legacy From the first moment guests arrived at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek, they were greeted by its thoughtful design. The venue’s expansive custom-built structure and grounds—with their natural wood accents, elegant lighting, and panoramic windows—offered a stunning backdrop for the couple’s heartfelt vows. The officiant, a beloved family member, infused the ceremony with humor and warmth. Jokes about keeping the service under two hours, passing “sacramental wine every five minutes,” and avoiding “animal sacrifices” drew chuckles from the crowd. Yet he also led a touching moment of remembrance for those not physically present, inviting everyone to hold a smile, a tear, or a prayer for loved ones gone but not forgotten. In one of the most moving moments, Grace and Adam pledged their lives to one another. Adam vowed “to laugh with, to cheer with, to cherish” Grace for as long as they both shall live. Grace, in turn, promised to “support you and love you through it all,” holding his hand no matter what life brings. It was the kind of scene Austen might have written: simple, sincere, and overflowing with love. Reception: Joy, Laughter & Local Flavor As the ceremony transitioned into celebration, The Legacy at 18 Mile Creek showed off its versatility. With its climate-controlled interior and open layout, the reception space accommodated guests comfortably while maintaining an intimate, festive atmosphere. Grace and Adam’s shared passions—sports, family, and community—threaded through the evening. Speeches from siblings and friends captured their essence: Adam, the hardworking DIY-er who can coach lacrosse and sing Rex Orange County in the same afternoon; Grace, the selfless soul with a heart “that can only be described as beautiful.” Together, they are “true partners—equals and best friends.” Their love of Buffalo’s teams (the Bandits, the Bills, and the Sabres) found playful nods throughout the décor and toasts. And of course, their beloved fur babies Ray and Obi—even though they “growled from under the couch” back home—were honored too. A Portrait of Grace To know Grace is to be drawn in by her warmth. Her sister Shelby’s speech painted a vivid portrait: from glitter-covered crafts in childhood to sharing clothes in their teenage years, Grace has always been “a built-in best friend.” Her superpower is seeing the good in others—a quality that drew Adam to her from the start and has made her a beloved friend, sister, and now wife. Her friends echoed the same sentiment. “She quickly became the most reliable, selfless, and helpful friend I had,” one bridesmaid shared. Another called Grace her “ride or die,” someone whose texts make her feel as if Grace is “just down the road.” These heartfelt words weren’t just compliments—they were evidence of the life Grace has cultivated: generous, joyful, deeply connected. A Legacy of Love It feels fitting that Grace and Adam began their married life at a place called The Legacy. The name speaks not just to the venue’s stunning architecture and grounds, but to the stories carried into it—the legacies of family, friendship, and love. In her vows, Grace thanked Adam for “working hard for us” and “loving me.” She looked forward to building their life together with their dogs, Obie and Ray, and their future children. “Every day you will know how much you are loved,” she said, her voice breaking slightly. Adam responded in kind, speaking of the seven years they’ve already shared and the lifetime to come. The night ended as it began—with gratitude. Grace took the microphone to thank every guest, saying she was “filled with appreciation” for each person present and those who couldn’t be there. Adam followed with a heartfelt “Ditto,” drawing laughter from the crowd. Then it was time to eat, dance, and celebrate. Why The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek Was the Perfect Choice Choosing a wedding venue is no small task, but Grace and Adam couldn’t have picked a more fitting setting. The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek combines natural beauty with thoughtful amenities. Its photo-worthy outdoor spots—perfect for first-look portraits and sunset moments—paired with the elegant interior created a seamless flow from ceremony to reception. Guests enjoyed the convenience of a climate-controlled building (a lifesaver on unpredictable Western New York days) without sacrificing the venue’s warm, rustic aesthetic. And the staff’s attention to detail allowed the couple to focus on what mattered most: savoring their day and celebrating with loved ones. A Final Toast Marriage is a journey built on love, patience, and the choice to show up for each other every single day. Grace and Adam embody that choice. Whether they’re flying off to London to cheer on the Bills, running errands together on a Saturday morning, or simply laughing over ice cream, they live their vows in the quiet, ordinary moments. Here’s to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Rakieki. May their life together be filled with adventures, nighttime dog walks, and a love that grows stronger with every passing year. And may the memories of this day at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek—Buffalo’s premier timeless wedding venue—always remind them of the beauty of their beginning. - A Wedding at Ravenwood Golf Club
Sara + Eric: A Joyful Ravenwood Golf Club Wedding Full of Laughter, Vows & Kitty Love If there’s one thing that will always stick with us about Sara and Eric’s wedding at Ravenwood Golf Club, it’s this: they are absolute soulmates . Every little moment—whether it was a sweet look exchanged during their vows, or a joke shared while sneaking bites of cake—felt effortless, hilarious, heartfelt, and uniquely them . Set on the stunning grounds of Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY, their wedding day was the perfect blend of celebration, intention, and good vibes. From the emotional ceremony to their epic reception dance party (and everything in between), Sara and Eric truly threw a wedding worth remembering. Getting Ready: Laid-Back Luxury and All the Feels One of the best parts about weddings here? Ravenwood Golf Club’s event spaces offer a relaxed elegance that never feels stuffy—but still looks amazing in every photo and video. Big windows, plenty of space, and easy access to the outdoor ceremony space. Eric, of course, brought the vibes with his usual mix of nerves, excitement, and dad-joke-level charm. From the start, we could tell this was going to be one of those weddings where the people make the day. Ceremony Goals: Heartfelt Vows & Tears (Happy Ones, Promise) The ceremony took place on Ravenwood’s picturesque outdoor patio overlooking the golf course’s lush greens. The weather was golden-hour-perfect, and Sara and Eric’s vows had everyone (yes, including us) teary-eyed one moment and cracking up the next. We’re not sure which was more iconic—Eric promising to always advise that “things are expensive” but still buying them anyway, or Sara declaring her love for Eric and their future cats (kitties > kids, and we respect that). Their love story isn’t just romantic—it’s rooted in friendship, humor, and deep understanding. Bonus: Their officiant gave one of the most beautifully spoken send-offs we’ve ever heard. Seriously. Goosebumps. That Ravenwood Glow: Portraits That Felt Like a Movie After the ceremony, we took full advantage of the golden hour light spilling across the Ravenwood grounds. One thing about this venue—it photographs like a dream. The rolling greens, tree-lined paths, and warm-toned architecture create a perfect natural backdrop for portraits that feel timeless and editorial without even trying. Sara and Eric were such naturals in front of the camera. (Although let’s be real—if you’ve ever seen Eric at a concert, you know he was made for the spotlight.) Their joy was palpable. Whether they were twirling, smooching, or giggling about inside jokes, they made every shot a genuine reflection of their love. Let the Party Begin: A Reception to Remember at Ravenwood Once the reception kicked off, it was game on. The ballroom at Ravenwood Golf Club was decorated with elegant touches, cozy lighting, and just enough sparkle to make the room feel extra magical. The toasts? Hysterical and heartfelt. Every single speaker—family and friends alike—had stories of wild adventures, shared meals, and moments of growth that led to this day. It was clear: Sara and Eric are not just loved. They are deeply known and celebrated by their people. And the food? Ravenwood delivered. Guests raved about the delicious dinner (we’ll be dreaming about that pasta for a while), and the staff kept everything running so smoothly you’d think they’d planned weddings with this couple for years . Dance Floor Legends (and a Whole Lot of Love) The party didn't stop. From first dances to full-on group choreography (and yes, a few legendary spins from Eric), the dance floor was lit . Guests of all ages were up, laughing, and singing along. It felt like one giant family reunion with 120+ of your favorite people. One of our favorite moments? Sara and Eric sneaking away from the dance floor for a private moment under the string lights outside. Just the two of them, soaking in the day, wrapped in each other’s arms. That’s what it’s all about. Final Thoughts: A Perfect Day for a Perfect Pair From their sweet vows to their commitment to always go on snack runs for each other (true love), Sara and Eric reminded us what weddings are all about. Not perfection. Not pageantry. But partnership. Friendship. And choosing each other—over and over again. We feel so lucky to have been part of this celebration and to have captured their story at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Rochester, NY: Ravenwood Golf Club. If you’re planning your own wedding and looking for a venue that balances nature, elegance, and good energy, Ravenwood is an easy yes. Congrats, Sara and Eric!
